Alfies Golf Society’s August match was held early this month, due to work being carried out on Lo Romero later in the month. Members and guests numbered 27 for the final round of our Eclectic Cup with all to play for at the top. The course as always was in tip top condition and the day was perfect for golf.
The Blind Pairs was won by Amrit Dawidow and Rita Potters, both returning their €5 cash prize to the charity fund, so thank you both for that. Dan Jones was the winner on the football card. The Captain’s chosen charity is Help at Home, and the fund currently stands at €1,353.90.

The Silver Division runner up was Sam Udell with 35 points – The Lucky Lion €12.50 voucher
The Silver Division winner was Wayne Stevenson with 36 points – The Lucky Lion €25 voucher
The Gold Division runner up was Shaun Staplehurst with 36 points – The Lucky Lion €12.50 voucher
The Gold Division and Overall winner was Chris Udell, with 38 points – The Lucky Lion €25 voucher.
The Eclectic Cup winner, with an excellent total of 50 Stableford points, was Wayne Stevenson.

Our next fixture will be Captain’s Day on 29th September with a change of venue due to reasons beyond our control and we will be playing at Las Ramblas. The presentations will be made in the evening at the Captain’s Day Dinner to be held at La Finca QFC, Lomas de Don Juan. Details of the dinner will follow shortly.
