Played at Oliva Nova on Tuesday 17th April 2018
On the morning when we were due to play golf at Oliva Nova, we were treated to a wonderful day of warm sunshine and gentle breezes to play golf.
We were playing a Stableford competition, and the 39 members, were joined by three guests and Jim Hayward, Chris Andersen and Jim Keaveney. The competition itself was played with two divisions for handicap
In the competition, the results for Division 1 were as follows:- 1st Place Richard Vass 39 Points playing off 8.9 Handicap. 2nd Place Malcolm Wise 37 Points playing off 9.7 Handicap, 3rd Place Dave O’Conner 36 Points playing off 16.2 Handicap
Results for Division 2 were as follows; 1st Place Paul Trigwell 34 Points playing off 20.4 Handicap, 2nd Place Keith Price 33 Points playing off 22.2 Handicap, 3rd David Phillips 33 Points playing off 31.2 Handicap
Well played to Richard Vass, with an excellent score of 39 Points.
Nearest the pin at Hole No 5 with their second shot was Malcolm Wise with 0.42 meters, and at hole number 16, nearest the pin was Martin Gates with 3.34 meters.
There were only two members with a two today and they were Richard Vass and Ken Miller
The Balls in the water competition, was won today by Stella Fox, and the amount of balls in the water this week was 109.
In the match play, the tie between John Evans and Martin Gates finished “All Square” for the second time, so they must play a third time next week.
