Montgo played a combined pairs competition today sponsored by Keith & Sally Cottrell, with a fine array of prizes. Oliva Nova have just undergone Hollow & Tinning on the greens this week thus making putting a little more difficult, but the course is great condition overall.
Todays winning pair was Gerian van Ooijen & Caz Welch with 70 points, in second place was Peter Gardiner & Arthur Burrowes with 66 points and in third place was George Braddick & Glenys Cuming with 65 points, beating Nigel Siddall & Helmut Pertier on countback.
Nearest the pins on the 3rd & 16th were won by Gerian van Ooijen, and John Day taking the prize on the 5th in 2.
We had two 2’s today Gerian van Ooijen on the 3rd and Keith Cottrell on the 16th with a very fine shot in, that would have taken the nearest the pin prize, but alas as a sponsor he was unable to claim it, but well played Keith.
