MOIR AND PHIPPS LIFT THE LAS RAMBLAS GS CAPTAINS CUP

On Wednesday 29th September Las Ramblas played host to the annual Captains Cup pairs competition.  It was a perfect day for golf or though some of the early starters teed off with miner’s lamps!!

The standard of golf was exceptional with 4 pairs scoring over 40 points!  It ended a very close run affair with the eventual winners snatching the Cup with 43 points on Countback.

There was strangely only one 2 on the day with Graham Murray cleaning up the pot.

The results were as follows :-

  1. Ian Moir & Ron Phipps – 43 points
  2. David Brench & Pedro Dunn – 43 points
  3. Andy Martin & Henny Oldenziel – 41 points
  4. Graham Murray & Joyce McClusky
