11.08.22 – Today saw the Members of the La Marina Golf Society compete in the third round of their Summer Cup Competition.
The venue for this round was at the El Plantio Golf Course, where most fairways are lined with trees and many members seemed to find them, nevertheless, I’m sure the shade was appreciated on this very hot day.
Everyone was in good spirits and we all had a most enjoyable round of golf followed by a very welcoming cold beer back at the Sports Complex where Helena provided us with our after-game refreshments.
The day’s winners were as follows: Lesley Cullen with 43pts, Gerry McCabe with 38pts, and Roy Harris with 36pts. Nearest the pins were Jeff Wiszniewski for holes 9 & 18 and Iain Lyall for hole 14, Iain also collected the twos pot.
