MONTGO GOLF SOCIETY REPORT
A sunny Friday saw Montgo GS members battling for another trophy, The Santana Shield, this week sponsored by Peter Gardiner (Steve Crossan being in the UK at present).
After last week’s medal it was probably assumed that the scores would be higher but our winner was George Braddick with 33 points on countback from Gerian van Ooijen. Third was Ilona Mathieu with 30 points.
Nearest the pins went to Geoff Willcock and Neil Cumming, unfortunately there were no twos this week.
Returning members this week were Robin Thatcher and Claire Stringer but after the game we said goodbye to Andrew Brown who is travelling back to the UK.
Next week’s competition is a stableford sponsored by Heiko Schram who kindly left prizes when he returned home in the winter. There may also be a smattering of chocolate as it is Easter.
