It was a complete joy to see that El Bosque had returned to its former great condition, the fairways were lush and green and the greens were fast but true, just how it used to be and well worth the journey.
A slightly smaller than usual field resulted in there being only one division with prizes down to fourth, enjoying a spectacular run of form Malcolm Monti once again led the field home with an astounding 40 points off 17 resulting in a 1.2 cut, 2nd place went to David French scoring 37 off 13, third spot went to Michael Morley with 33 off 13 and in fourth making a welcome return from a month away was Arthur Sullivan with 32 off 23.6.
Malcolm didn’t stop there he also picked up the nearest the pin prize on hole 8 and a covetted Warbler ball for a two, the other nearest the pin prize went to one of our guests, Clive Steadman, on the 14th, sadly Clive went on to have 4 putts before he could leave the hole. Portsmouth provided the opportunity for Arthur to scoop the football card winnings.
