22 players arrived at Oliva Nova on Friday looking forward to another day’s golf with Montgo GS.
Some members hopes were dashed though due to the overnight rain banning the use of buggies by the management.
This resulted in 3 members withdrawing from the competition. So, 18 of Montgo’s hardier members and guest Richard Fletcher, tee’d off for this week’s stableford which was sponsored by our Swiss representative, Ruth Strasser.
The prize for the best lady player went to Sally Cottrell with 35 points and the best men’s prize to Nigel Siddall with 39 points. Third with 37 points was John Day followed by Ian Bonser with 34 points.
Nearest the pins went to Nigel, Helmut Pertler and Gerian van Ooijen, but no two’s again this week.
Next week’s competition is St Andrew’s Day sponsored by our Captain, Sue Burman.
