In October, Montgo GS in conjunction with one of their competitions, held a fundraising event to support the work of Cancer Care Javea. Sadly, two long term friends and members, Linda Coe and Alan Skinner passed away this year and their families were provided with exceptional help and support when needed.
The charity relies on donations to continue to provide such care and support, not only in the Javea area but right across this part of the Costa Blanca. Their services are being more and more called for and more of us are being affected in some way by Cancer, be it friends or family and Montgo GS hopes that the amount raised will help in some small way.
A presentation was made to Jayne Laworth from the charity after golf on Friday. Hopefully this is something which can continue annually and help to raise more funds for such a worthwhile cause.
