Yesterday Montgo Golf Society had a good away day at Forressos Golf Course Valencia. The course was not in the best condition mainly with overgrown grass in Bunkers, but our members returned with some very good scores. The winner of our stableford competition was that old veteran John Day just cannot keep a good man down who scored 38 points, pipping Keith Cottrell on countback, taking 3rd place was Nigel Siddall with 37 points. We had two nearest the pin prizes on offer today on the 5th & 14th with Sally Cottrell & that man again John Day taking home the spoils. We had no two’s today so our supply of coveted Montgo balls remain intact. Next Week we are back at Oliva Nova playing a Stableford competition sponsored by the society.
