The main storyline entering Masters week was a long-hitting star who might overpower Augusta National Golf Club on the way to victory. The talk was about Bryson DeChambeau, but maybe it should have been about Dustin Johnson.

The big-hitting 36-year-old entered Sunday with a four-shot lead and closed with a five-shot win as he donned the Green Jacket and captured his second major championship and 24th PGA TOUR win. To sum up the dominance, he became the first player to reach 20 under in the history of the Masters.

“It’s always tough to get it done in a major,” said Johnson, who led or co-led after each round and shot 4-under 68 on Sunday. “I was nervous all day. I could feel it.” The reigning FedExCup champion and PGA TOUR Player of the Year also extended his streak of consecutive seasons with a win to 14, tying Tiger Woods.

Only Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer have more with 17 seasons a piece. Johnson picked up 600 FedExCup points to jump to No. 1 in the standings.
