27 Warblers were treated to a great day at Alicante starting with Breakfast, continuous blue skies and a course that was truly in stunning condition, but only a third of the field managing to top 30 plus points. Again, it was Malcolm Monti taking division one with 36 points with Robin Wheatley second with 35 and Glyn Braidley in third with 34.
The second Division was dominated by the ladies with Margaret Hoare winning on 35 points and Susan Harrison second with 34 points and Peter Gibson third with 33. Two nearest the pins were Chris Williamson, hole 3 and Michael Morley hole 12.
Two Titanic battles took place in the singles club championship and moving into the next round will be Michael Morley who took on and beat David Knight 3 and 1 whilst Peter Gibson took on the might of Glynn Braidley and finally beat him 2 and 1, congratulations to both winners.
Alan Wilson took “Coals to Newcastle” by winning the football card and we had two guests , Andy Taylor, welcome back, and Brian Dawson, we hope you enjoyed your day with us.
