Montgo Golf Society played our second awayday competition at El Plantio on Friday.
After a fresh start the sun warmed as the round progressed. The course was in very good condition and El Plantio staff very helpful to us all.
The society sponsored the competition with Sally Cottrell taking top spot with 36 points with Nigel Siddall in second place with 33 points and Wolfgang Schuster in third place on countback.
We had Two Nearest the Pin prizes on offer today on the 9th & 16th in two shot. The winners were Geoff Willcock & John Day.
Hope you enjoyed the Biscuits. The first time in a long while we had three twos with Geoff Willcock & Nigel Siddall (2) taking home converted Montgo Golf Balls.
We had three guests today, Edith Schuster, Chris Chapman & Dennis Hammond, with Edith taking home the best guest prize well done Edith. El Plantio gave the Captain a free round thus saving 56 euros.
Each player was offered a refund of 4 euros or we could put the 56 euros into the Society Charity Fund, which all players agreed to do.
