On Friday members of Montgo played for the Mojo Cup, now renamed the John Costigan Memorial Trophy. John who died earlier in the year from Covid was the regular sponsor of the Mojo Cup and one of the founder members of the society.
Again, the weather was very hot but that didn’t seem to affect the scores of most of the players. Caz Welch has been playing steady golf over the last few weeks and won the Trophy with 36 points.
Second with 35 was Geoff Willcock, and third on his return was Franz Budnick with 34 points. Nearest the pins went to Geoff and Franz who both had two’s. Also returning from Sweden for a few weeks were Susanne and Hans Duner.
Next week’s competition will be 3 clubs and a putter sponsored by Glenys and Neil Cuming.
