Long treck this month to Altorreal to the lovely course in Murcia but it played hard for the majority of members, with a couple of exceptions the scoring was pretty low. It was dubbed the Billings and Smith show as most of the prizes went to these two golfers.
In the Gold Category Andy Billings came in with 38 points to beat the Handicap Secretary Robney Smith who scored32 points into Second place. Andy guess what!! A big cut. He has already started to sharpen his knife. In third place was Liam Foley with 28 points. We will not see him again until September.
In the Silver Category Graham Knight came in with 33 points after scoring just 7 points at Alicante Golf the previous Thursday, and losing his ball on the 18th Green, when a Seagull hopped down and carried it away. In Second Place was Harry McKinnon with 28 points and in Third place was Geoff Wild with 26 points
NEAREST THE PINS: Hole 5 amd17 Rodney Smith, Hole 8 and 11 Andy Billings
