‘Mike Probert talks Golf – Changes at La Finca Golf Resort?

Changes at La Finca Golf Resort?

Three of the oldest and more established courses in the Torrevieja area are La Finca, Las Ramblas and Villamartin who operated collectively under the banner of Grupoquara for many years but changed in recent times to La Finca Golf Resort.

There are however big changes ahead for these golf courses, their owners and members because it has been announced that from the 1^st January 2022 Las Ramblas will now function as an independent entity but will honour agreements made under the former collective until the end of 2022.

We wish them well in the future.

Somewhat more controversially La Finca have decided not to re-new memberships for 2022 replacing these instead with a system whereby the public can purchase a selection of green fee books or vouchers in various denominations.

Many long-term members at La Finca were not happy with these new working practices and have decided to leave and find other courses to play which in itself is problematical because many alternative courses have full membership lists.

I am sure that there will be further developments in the near future and we will attempt to keep you updated accordingly.
