Following a number of late cancellations, 25 members (including 1 playing for handicap) and 4 guests ‘teed it up’ on 7th. July to compete for our Summer Cup. It was some relief that it was not as hot as the previous couple of days. The course was generally in good condition and the greens were also generally good and quick.
The majority of scores were quite good, considering the heat. After the game as is customary we returned to the Lo Crispin Tavern, where we were supplied with Tapas by the helpful and friendly staff and the day’s prizes distributed.
As we were playing for one of our ‘Major’s’ there were no divisional prizes.

The Guest and those playing for handicap prize was won by Eddie Kirby with 29 pts. off 18. Mike Ellson’s day was made even better as he shared the 2’s pot with Steve King, with each receiving 51.5 euros. Finally, the Free game Draw was won by one of our Committee members, Ian Matson. Our next game is at Alenda on the 21st. July when we will be playing for the Anniversary Trophy.
