It certainly was a hot day for the members of the La Marina Golf Society who began their Summer Cup campaign with the first game being at the Bonalba Golf Course. The course was in excellent condition and all those who took part had a great round, especially Vice Captain Iain Lyall who holed out of the bunker at hole 4 to scoop the quadruple rollover two’s pot. Iain then very generously donated some of his winnings to the Society’s social fund.
Club Captain, Jeff Wiszniewski took first place with 40 points, Paul Crump was second with 37 points and Louvain Smith took the third spot with 34 points. Nearest the pin prizes went to Louvain Smith for hole 8, Jimmy Scott for hole 11 and Lesley Cullen for hole 14.
The second game of the Summer Cup will be played at Roda Golf Course, those wishing to play please let the General Secretary know ASAP.
