1st July 2021 – La Marina Golf Society’s game this week was at the Font Del Llop Golf Course where 20 of its members were competing for the Founders Trophy.
The weather was bright and sunny and the greens were in excellent condition which contributed to all the players coming in with some high scores.
Hans Mikaelsson won the Founders Trophy and the Gold Division with 37 points and Louvain Smith won the Silver division with 36 points.
Nearest the pin winners were, Jimmy Scott on hole 3, Hans Mikaelsson on hole 8, Graham Bovington on hole 12 and Lesley Cullen on hole 16.
The twos pot was split between 3 players, Graham Bovington, Han Mikealsson and jeff Wiszniewski.
Sadly, this week we lost one of our Founder members Colin Yarnton, Colin was one of life’s true gentlemen and will be missed by everyone in the Society.
