- December 16th, 2021, Lo Romero. Competition: Texas Scramble
There was a good turnout today for the Mike Barbour Memorial Texas Scramble. Members were greeted by a cloudy and chilly morning, but Lo Romero Golf Course did not disappoint the course was in excellent condition, which led to some good scores on the day.
Congratulations to the winning team of Frank Marks John Lywood, Frank Cullen and Roy Harris who went around in 71 giving them a net score of 56 which was 5 shots win over the second team.
They were presented with the Mike Barbour Memorial Trophy ( the trophy was donated by the Barbour Family in memory of Mike Barbour ) who loved playing Texas Scramble. The runners up were Gerry Mc Cabe, Bill Allen, Mark Leigh and Graham Leigh who went around in 76 giving them a net score of 61.
3rd place was shared by the three other teams who when round in 79 and gave them a net score 63. Nearest the pin winners were Hole 5 Frank Marks, Hole 7 Bill Allen, Hole 12 Frank Marks and Hole 15 Graham Leigh.
