This course was designed by the American Golf Course architect Cabell B. Robinson and is managed by Troon Golf.

It is a par 71, 18-hole championship course that works its way through valleys and a central high ground.It is surrounded by over 10,000 hectares of Mediterranean woodland and incorporates six lakes and five sets of Tees, ranging from 4,615 metres from the Red Tees to a very long 6,377 metres from the Black Tees. The course offers every standard of golfer a unique challenge of golf in beautiful and tranquil surroundings.

This course appears in Golf World's Top 100 courses in Europe as well as being a European Tour Qualifying School Venue.
