The Society have made a donation of €500 to Darren Jones “Darren the Barber” of Quesada (pictured below), the father of Marcos Jones, whom we mentioned last week, who had an horrific car accident very recently which has left him with life-changing injuries.

San Miguel Golfers brave the Vistabella Calima

Yes, we love the Spanish sun and heat but boy were we grateful the temperature dropped from the preceding days from 40+ degrees!

36 golfers were there bright and early, made up of 29 members and 7 guests for a bright, warm tee off time. The pace of play was good and some great scores were logged as follows:

A beautiful August day, not much breeze with plenty of water being consumed to abate any dehydration.

A reduced Summer field of 40 today, including six guests trundling off down the first, blue skies and sunshine, with lots of water flasks for maximum, necessary, hydration.

Humidity, and Heroics as SMGS Battles the Heat at Villamartín

36 played today including a few guests who met later than normal to attack and conquer the course to the best of their ability.
