Its been some time (due to the covid problems) since we played at Alenda golf course which is always a favourite of Busters, we were not disappointed after being welcomed by Jose and his team we had sufficient time to enjoy a coffee on Alenda’s terrace before we teed off.
We were greeted with a strong wind blowing against on the lengthy par-five first hole, however, the wind did slow down some a little later, making things a touch easier. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were superb.
We returned to our sponsor’s bar, Bar Little Leias (ex Bar El Toro) in Calle Vigo Quesada 03170 for our presentation to be welcomed by Ian and his staff
Our par three’s winners were Kjell Svenson on the third hole, with Keith Loughrey taking the fifth and the sixteenth, the par-three winners had the choice of either wine or a sleeve of golf balls, in second place with a score of thirty-two points was Terry Sharley who received wine and also a waterproof top that had been donated by George Holmes towards any future prizes, as the jacket fitted Terry perfectly he was the obvious recipient.
A very popular Kjell Svenson scoring thirty-four points was our winner on the day, Kjell received red and white wines, we had one winner in our two’s pot being Tony Wilson and our soccer card winner who selected Coventry was Rob Ashman, well done all our winners.
Busters next game on April 2nd will be held at the Seve. designed Alicante golf course
