‘Mike Probert talks Golf - Is it ever acceptable to just walk off the golf course?

Twenty of us traveled south down the AP-7 to Roda golf course for our monthly Stableford competition, being a typical Spanish summer it was hot, and at the very least two bottles of cold liquid were required to drink as we went along.

After collecting the green fees, having a coffee, and a rabbit we were ready to tee off, as is the norm Roda had been kept to is usual high standard, the fairways the greens along with the rest of the course were in very good condition, leading to a very hot but enjoyable game.

Onto our results, we had returned to Little Leia’s bar close to Consum in Quesada for the presentation, our NTPs being won on the second by Nikki Ead, hole seven was taken by Helen Kinsella, and Duncan Roberts was nearest the pin on the thirteenth all NTPs received a bottle of wine donated by our sponsor Ian the boss of Little Leia’s bar who also gave wine for our BF9, won by Allan Collis, and to Terry Sharley who won the BB9 ( best back nine ), with very good scores of thirty-eight points our winners tied for first place, but missing out on countback was Rob Sherrat and by making second place he took home bottles of red and white wine, but our overall winner on the day also with thirty-eight points was Duncan Roberts, who won a bottle of Vodka, our soccer card was won by Paul Cogin who selected QPR:
