This week, Bonalba was the venue for the” La Marina Committee Trophy” where Members of the La Marina Golf Society met to compete for various prizes. The course was as challenging as ever and the rain stayed away which made for a pleasant day all round.
The Committee Trophy was won ironically by our Treasurer Roy Harris with 41 pts and second place was the Handicap Secretary Dave Slightam with 36 pts. Lynn Leigh with 35pts on countback took the third prize.
Vic Captain, Iain Lyall won the twos pot and also won nearest the pin on hole 4, with Marco Eckart winning on hole 8 and Birgit Eckart for hole 11, Les Pirie won for hole 14.
Our next game is at Font del Llop, where the members of the Society will be competing for the Plaza 39 trophy, which has been sponsored by the owners’ Sue and John. The day will be rounded off by a meal in the evening at their restaurant.
