• Terry Sharly winner 2022

April saw us returning to Alto Real to compete in our Alto Real Trophy for the tenth time, how time flies, seems only yesterday since those early days when we started Busters over a couple of beers at Alto Real golf course.

The course had taken a bashing due to the previous two to three weeks of heavy rain, but with the camaraderie we have in our society we all still enjoyed competing for the winning place, after the game we returned to Little Leias bar in Quesada for our presentation only to find that the bar was being refurbished, however, Ian the boss of Little Leias turned up as we were sorting things out with the bar next door for somewhere to have our presentation, so all was well and we proceeded in the neighbouring bar to award our prizes.

Earlier in the day, prior to teeing off our new member Michael Lindstroem turned up with eight boxes of balls that he had gotten stamped with our Busters logo, giving us all a sleeve of balls which was a very nice gesture.

Onto our presentation, our NTPs were won by Chris Soane on the 6th, Keith Loughrey took the eighth with Daniel Lindstroem winning hole seventeen, none of our members managed to hit the tenth green with their tee shot, those who returned to the bar took home wine that had been donated by our sponsors Ian the boss of Little Leias.

In second place and taking home bottles of red and white wines was Chris Soane who lost out to our winner Terry Sharley by one point, no one had a two so the two’s money went to our social fund, our card winner on the day was Daniel Lindstroem who selected Bolton.
