Long treck this month to Altorreal to the lovely course in Murcia but it played hard for the majority of members, with a couple of exceptions the scoring was pretty low. It was dubbed the Billings and Smith show as most of the prizes went to these two golfers.
In the Gold Category Andy Billings came in with 38 points to beat the Handicap Secretary Robney Smith who scored32 points into Second place. Andy guess what!! A big cut. He has already started to sharpen his knife. In third place was Liam Foley with 28 points. We will not see him again until September.
In the Silver Category Graham Knight came in with 33 points after scoring just 7 points at Alicante Golf the previous Thursday, and losing his ball on the 18th Green, when a Seagull hopped down and carried it away. In Second Place was Harry McKinnon with 28 points and in Third place was Geoff Wild with 26 points

Back to our home course for this month’s home game with a tee off time of 8 am. We had a full compliment and with the weather being a bit chilly it was a pleasure to see the sun come through and warm things up. Scoring was average which was surprising as the course still had plenty of run on it.
In the Gold Category Andy Billings came in with 33 pts to take first place. Second place went to Liam Foley with 32 pts and 3rd place to Ken Hopkins with 29 pts.
In the Silver Category 35 Pts by Geoff Wild took first place. With Rocket Ron in Second place with 29 pts and Third was Ged Dobson with 28 points. His first time on the podium.
